ITAL Seeking Help Desk Technician

IT Audit Labs is seeking a Help Desk technician for a local twin cities client in the public sector. As a Help Desk technician, you will serve as a key point of contact to provide timely, quality support and assistance for PC workstation hardware and all connected peripherals.


Responsibilities

  • Provide basic support for standard PC workstations and specialized departmental software as needed

  • Provide telecommunications support; logging, categorizing, and prioritizing the details for IT service incidents and service requests

  • Work to restore service and fulfill requests; perform related duties as assigned


Minimum Qualifications

  • One year of experience in computer technology or customer service support in a technical environment

  • Associates degree* in Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field

  • *Two years of applicable computer technology experience or customer service support in a technical environment may substitute for the secondary education requirement. In which case, three years of related experience is required.

  • Fluency in Microsoft Office collaboration suite (Outlook, Teams, Word)

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • High level knowledge of a wide variety of computer hardware and software

  • High level knowledge in OS repairs, equipment malfunctions, and software upgrades


The ideal candidate Must Have

  • Meet minimum qualifications for experience/education requirements

  • Ability to troubleshoot and apply critical thinking while engaged with end users

  • Ability organize and manage multiple tasks in a timely manner

  • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences

  • Ability to troubleshoot and apply critical thinking

  • Ability to work onsite Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm


Additional notes:

Hourly rate determined on qualifications and experience. Early August start date preferred.
