ITAL Seeking Help Desk Technician
IT Audit Labs is seeking a Help Desk technician for a local twin cities client in the public sector. As a Help Desk technician, you will serve as a key point of contact to provide timely, quality support and assistance for PC workstation hardware and all connected peripherals.
Provide basic support for standard PC workstations and specialized departmental software as needed
Provide telecommunications support; logging, categorizing, and prioritizing the details for IT service incidents and service requests
Work to restore service and fulfill requests; perform related duties as assigned
One year of experience in computer technology or customer service support in a technical environment
Associates degree* in Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
*Two years of applicable computer technology experience or customer service support in a technical environment may substitute for the secondary education requirement. In which case, three years of related experience is required.
Fluency in Microsoft Office collaboration suite (Outlook, Teams, Word)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
High level knowledge of a wide variety of computer hardware and software
High level knowledge in OS repairs, equipment malfunctions, and software upgrades

Ability to troubleshoot and apply critical thinking while engaged with end users
Ability organize and manage multiple tasks in a timely manner
Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences

Ability to work onsite Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
Hourly rate determined on qualifications and experience. Early August start date preferred.
